RQG Exchange 2019

Dear RQGEx Creator,

Thank you so much for creating for me! I've been very excited for this exchange, and I hope you are too. The purpose of this letter is to maybe help provide a little inspiration if you're stuck - feel free to modify or utterly disregard everything in it. So long as you respect my DNWs, I'm sure I'll be thrilled with whatever you come up with.

Edward Keystone & Tjelvar Stornsnasson

I really, really love these two, preferably romantically but I am very much down for platonic stuff for them as well. I'd like more of them working together (feel free to just completely handwave why they might be working together), chance meetings post-Tomb, pretty much anything with these two is Good.

- Traps! We've seen some very fiendish traps in canon thus far, and I'd like to read about one or both of them falling afoul of either these traps or other traps, given that Indiana Jones-style tombs seem to be absolutely littered with them.
- It'd be nice to see the results of them being the discoverers of Hannibal's tomb - do they get invited to fancy dinners or conferences? are they bothered by journalists? commissioned to search for more semi-mythical artefacts?
- Bandits!
- I'd like to see them being protective/defensive of one another - be this in situations where they're in actual physical danger, or because, I don't know, Real Archaeologists are being disparaging about Tjelvar searching for mythical things, Edward's family is awful and that's part of why he's estranged, one's colleagues/church disapproves of the other.
- Huddling For Warmth.

Grizzop drik Acht Amsterdam & Sasha Rackett

I would prefer to have platonic stuff for Sasha and Grizzop - I've really been enjoying their relationship in canon, especially Grizzop's very adamant caring and Sasha's not admitting things.

- Shows of affection, drunken or otherwise - Grizzop's "Sasha!" bounce-hug is one of my favourite moments.
- Sasha teaching Grizzop knife tricks.
- Grizzop talking more to Sasha about the church - his attempt to recruit her was so sweet and so awkward, and I would love to hear more about the Artemis church anyway.
- Doing (morally justifiable) crime or crime-adjacent things together.
- Again, defensiveness - maybe someone has a bit of an attitude about goblins, or is otherwise rude.

Howard Carter & Tjelvar Stornsnasson

These two have never met in canon but if they did. I really like the small bits of archaeology that we've seen in RQG, and I'd be really interested to see how Carter and Tjelvar would interact, especially given how smoothly Tjelvar dealt with Bertie, who was also pretty awful. (If you would like to include Edward I am very down with that, but I'd prefer the focus be on Tjelvar and Carter's interactions.)

- They somehow end up on a dig together.
- They meet at a conference.
- They have never met, but they have exchanged either a number of letters, or a number of increasingly combative papers published in the archaeology journals.
- Carter's giving a lecture, and Tjelvar has been saving Some Opinions for the Q&As.
- They end up in the same cell.

Azu & Grizzop drik Acht Amsterdam & Hamid Saleh Haroun al-Tahan & Sasha Rackett

I love this whole found family thing the LOLOMG have going on, so, ah, more of that? I'd request a nice, relaxing spa weekend but I think that might be the fastest way to get Grizzop to side-quest...

- The party gets a calm evening on the way somewhere, camping out under the stars and swapping stories over the fire.
- Sasha rescues the rest of the party from something - there was a lot of the party saving Sasha with the whole Heart of Aphrodite arc, and I'd love to see some more of it going the other way, especially if it's a situation where it would be far easier/more rewarding for her to leave them, because that gives me squishy feels.
- Hamid casts Fly on the party, fun ensues.
- The party adopts some sort of monstrous creature as a pet, or are adopted by it.
- Dragons like to hoard (and lie on/amongst) the things they value most - Hamid loves his mercenary group.

Azu & Grizzop drik Acht Amsterdam & Edward Keystone

Paladins! I'd really like to more of the differences and similarities between their churches etc, in any combination. I'd also love to see Edward (with an optional Tjelvar as with the Carter&Tjelvar prompt, I'm trash) meet the party in general, so feel free to include the entire LOLOMG if you want to, I am just particularly interested in the paladin interactions.

- The LOLOMG encounter Edward, on their way out of Rome, and just after he's fulfilled his pilgrimage to see the damage evil can do.
- Grizzop, as a goblin and a paladin of Artemis, values speed and efficiency - Edward is neither of these things.
- Edward meets Azu and is very impressed by Topaz T Camel.
- Grizzop and Azu have different approaches to things, but maybe they need to work together on something thorny to rescue Sasha and Hamid?
- The LOLOMG are asked to investigate an old ruin, possibly subterranean, and Edward is already there - he heard there might be evil.
